This work was created for a ceramic and print themed exhibition featuring myself, Jasna Sokolovic, Susie Osler and Rebecca Robbins. Timed to take place during the literary festival, we were asked to respond to this theme in some way. Thus began my long-standing interest in text and type. Punctuation from the first pages of literary works have been isolated to create decoration – abstract patterns emerge while holding a subtle, personal meaning.
